| The CDs are red as audio cd in Laptop always... | | Today I tried to format my Laptop.When I inserted the bootable CD into the drive, it is shown as audio CD only and I was not able to boot the system from CD. I thought the problem was with the CD and I checked it with some other system and in the other systems, I was able to boot the systems from the same CD..Hence it is clear that there is no problem with the CD. Then I inserted some other CDs, which were wrote already with some files. Most of the CDs were not readable by my Laptop and when I looked the properties of the CD, I found the memory as zero,both for free space and used space. But I am able to see the content of the CDs in some other systems. Another important factor is my Laptop is reading the CDs, if they are of original version (like the installation CDs of some software, issued by the software vendors).But the laptop is reading the CDs if they were written by me.Also I did not find any difficulty in reading or opening the above all CDs in the past,in the same laptop. Is there any setting should be made to make my Laptop to read all the CDs? If so, how can I do that? What is the reason for the above problem? | Would you drive through a red light? | | Please take this into consideration.It's very late at night, your stopped at a red light. It's been over five minutes and the light is still red. The other side has flashed through the green light a few times already. There are no other cars in sight. What would you do? Do you take the risk of being caught and speed through the red light? Or do you wait, even though your in a foul mood, for the light to turn green? Oh yeah, consider that there might be cameras around to catch you in the act too. I was wondering because I was in this kind of situation a while back. I got off of work, it was a bit late at night, and just wanted to go home and rest. But I was detained at a stop light for around 10 minutes. The stupid light would not turn red no matter what. I was sitting there watching the other side turn green three times. I was the only one there and I was really thinking about ignoring the red light and driving off. But then I noticed all those cameras mounted in the corners. I really didn't feel like getting caught so I ended up waiting grumpily for my light to turn green. I ended up waiting a few more minutes after that. | |

| Alex Gonzalez To The Blue Jays, Should The Red Sox Have Kept Him? | | I know this isn't new news but I had wrote about it and forgot to post it before. I'm quite shocked that the Boston Red Sox didn't resign Short Stop Alex Gonzalez. Gonzalez, who is 32 signed a 1 year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays worth 2.75 million, and option of the 2011 season worth 2.5 million. It's fairly certain that Gonzalez will be the replacement at Short Stop for the Jays since Marcos Scutato is said to be leaving as a free agent. This is a great pickup in my eyes for the Blue Jays but a bad move by the Boston Red Sox not to resign him for next season or multiple seasons.Alex was traded by the Reds on August 14, 2009 to the Red Sox who he played for in 2006 as well. While with the Red Sox for the remainder of the 2009 season Gonzalez had a .284 batting average, and five home runs in 148 at bats for them. It just totally boggles my mind why the Red Sox wouldn't resign him considering Short Stop has been a huge problem for the Red Sox through out the past few seasons. | | Red is the new blonde.... | | This was so a totally "blonde" moment for me today. I was laughing so hard at myself!I had to take my car in to get the windshield replaced because of a huge crack. When I picked it up, I had to adjust the rearview mirror a little bit and the first thing I thought was "Why did they have to adjust my mirror when they didn't even have to drive it very far?" I was thinking that the mechanics very rarely adjust things in the car because they're in it for such a short time. Then I realized - OH!!! They replaced the windshield!!! So of course they had to take the mirror off and put it on the new windshield! DUH!!!! I was then kinda amazed that it was pretty darned close to how I like it! | |
