baby cribs Discussions
I have reached the end of my rope!!
my baby son keeps getting his legs or arms caught in between the slats of his crib. This causes him toSCREAM even while sleeping. My hubby has been getting little sleep. So when he is sleeping now his snoring is worse. I went to sleep on the couch and fell asleep around 2 am. I have been up since 5:30 am. I went on line and purchased a solution. Breathable crib mesh. looks pretty neat and it's safe. take a look what do you think..reviews were great. Has online shopping ever rescued you?
Cribs are Dangerous
My son is 7 months old, he has a nice big sleigh crib that I bought and I did put a bumper pad around the edge of it, but He ALWAYS finds a way to get his little legs stuck between the crib bars, it's really pitiful because he screams so hard when this happens. The other day he was stuck all the way up to his thigh and I had to pull it out. I don't know what to do about this, I feel so bad for the little guy and I'm affraid he's going to get stuck bad. I can't just go and buy another crib.
Going through trouble with recalls on merchandise
They have a recall out in the news today on baby cribs. If you own one would you take it back or just stop and buy another one because you don't want to go through all the trouble?
Babies
I need some tips on getting my five month old baby to sleep in her crib. As soon as I place her any where near the thing she screams her gee golly head off. I can not "Ferberize" her (that is when you let them cry it out).
Baby Crib Recall! PLEASE READ AND PASS IT ON!
This was reported on the news today so I looked up the website. Please pass this on http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssConsumerGoodsAndRetailNews/idUSN1341652820090113 Stork Craft recalls more than 1 million baby cribs TORONTO, Jan 13 (Reuters) - The Canadian company that makes the Stork Craft line of baby cribs is voluntarily recalling more than 1 million of them in Canada and the United States because of a potential suffocation hazard, authorities said on Tuesday. The cribs were made by British Columbia-based Stork Craft Manufacturing Inc. They were sold at major retailers such as J.C. Penney (JCP.N), Kmart and Wal-Mart (WMT.N) between May 2000 and January 2009. About 535,000 are being recalled in the United States and about 494,000 in Canada. "The metal support brackets used to support the crib mattress and mattress board can crack and break," the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on its website. "When one or more support brackets break, the mattress can collapse and create a dangerous gap between the mattress and crib rails, in which a child can become entrapped and suffocate." There have been at least 10 incidents in which one or more of the support...
And You Mean To Tell Me They Don't Inspect Safety Issues For Baby Products?
Someone must definitely have there heads in their butts since we are now hearing of yet another major product with a major recall. Only recently I heard the news about the massive recall of the Stork Drop Down Baby Cribs--what's alarming about this, was the fact that way back in January of this year over 500,000 of these cribs were recalled due to the chance of a baby accidentally getting caught between the mattress and the drop down side of the crib, causing suffocation and death...Well it seems, the company STILL hasn't gotten its act together as another recall was issued. In fact the Consumer Product Safety Commission has been aware of this problem for the past decade and several babies have died as a result. These types of cribs were manufactured as far back as January 1993 up to the present and with over 5 MILLION of cribs were recalled all total. What is worse is that in a news broadcast I heard the other night, these cribs were never inspected for potential problems, and obviously still aren't as they are being continually sold. Most of these cribs are manufactured by the Stork Craft company but also have the Fischer Price logo. Now some weeks ago, there was another...
Here's to us! We are Awesome!!
No matter what our kids and the new generation think about us, WE ARE AWESOME!! OUR LIFE IS LIVING PROOF!To those of us born between 1930 and 1979…… First, We survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn’t get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors, or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads. As infants and children we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes. Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We shared on soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren’t overweight…WHY? Because we were always outside playing…that’s why!We would leave home...

Wal-Mart is out of control
Not only is Wal-Mart known for building on presious wetland, "mislabeling" organic food, but they also are using illegal timber for their wood products, paying the Russian mob. Wal-Mart practices encourage illegal logging, threaten endangered species Date: December 16, 2007. Posted by WildlifeWatch Desk Region: International Subjects: Industry, Forests Global retail giant Wal-Mart is selling wood products made from illegally logged timber which is in turn threatening the habitat of the highly endangered Siberian tiger. This new evidence comes as Wal-Mart continues to publicly tout its “Sustainability 360” initiative, which asserts the importance of “first and foremost” avoiding illegally harvested wood. Highlights of the EIA report 'Attention Wal-Mart Shoppers: How Wal-Mart's Sourcing Practices Encourage Illegal Logging and Threaten Endangered Species' show that Wal-Mart’s “no questions asked” sourcing policy, which prizes low-price above all, is having particularly dangerous consequences for the high conservation value forests of the Russian Far East, and in turn the world’s largest cat, the Siberian tiger, of which only 500 are thought to remain in the wild. EIA’s...
