| | Unique marriage!!!!!!! | | Organisers of a fantasy wedding on the Las Vegas Strip between Hollywood's hottest unmarried couple got cold feet. Madame Tussaud’s nixed the plan to stage a depiction of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tying the knot after a representative for Pitt protested. ''I personally found it a little odd that they were re-creating a wedding that never really happened,'' said Cindy Guagenti, Los Angeles-based spokeswoman for Pitt. ''As Brad's representative, I found it disturbing.''
Adrian Jones, general manager of the wax museum at the Venetian resort, said in a statement that the decision was made to not cross the stars. ''Since Madame Tussaud’s enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene,'' he said. The scene would have had wax figures of George Clooney, standing in as best man, and the Reverend Robert Schuller, pastor and president of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, officiating. Wax witnesses would have included the likenesses of the likes of Elvis, Liberace, John Wayne, Bugsy Siegel, Frank Sinatra, Ben Affleck and Luciano Pavarotti. Instead, Jolie's wax figure will be introduced Wednesday,...

| | how many of you have watched The Godfather?? | | The Godfather is one of the few films in which I personally did not find any significant weakness even after many viewings. From the direction, to the acting, to the storyline, to the score, The Godfather has the word classic written all over, and it really is not much of a surprise that it is now considered by many one of the top five movies of all time. Perhaps when it comes to cinematic techniques The Godfather has not been as revolutionary as Citizen Kane, but its influence on motion pictures is comparable. Rarely a movie has defined or re-defined a genre as much as this one did for "gangster movies", but its influence goes well beyond that.
The Godfather's influence has been so big through the years that elements of it can be found in virtually every "organized crime film" nowadays; almost every comedy featuring a gangster in the last few years has spoofed something in The Godfather. The Italian-American old mobster a-la Don Vito Corleone has become one of the most established figures in the public's imagination.
But to say that The Godfather is simply "influential" is to diminish its true qualities, and so is to describe it simply as "a movie about gangsters". The Mafia is...

| | | Defined- Music and Memories | | I have a question to ask. I shall ask it of you.Do you have music inside you? Do you have a running soundtrack of your life? Are your memories triggered by a line spoken or snippet heard? The music inside me, defines me.
My mother is a musician; her music has always been with me, even as I floated, curled in her womb. My father is a music lover, and loves to dance and laugh at himself; he is an awful dancer. Music such as gospel, classical, big band, rock, jazz, swing; my exposure was complete, before ever drawing my first breath.
My parent’s music is the background of my life.
From my mother; I listened to her finger exercises while cooking, various gospel renditions during chores, Amy Grant while reading a book, Bing Crosby during homework, hymns while falling asleep. Always hymns. To this day; when she plays hymns I fall asleep, no matter where I am.
From my father; Wild cherry’s during history homework; which often lasted hours as we both have a passion for things long gone, Mama’s and the Papas as he taught my children how to fire a handgun, The Beatles while leaning to drive, The Rolling Stones driving cross - country, Mama Cass was our company in front of the fire....
