| Do you Leap Frog in Helium? | | Helium has this option that if an article is ranked really low you can rewrite it or fix it by using a leap frog. If you leapfrog and rewrite the article once can you rewrite it again later? I have never used this option but it looks like I might want to for one of my articles on Helium. I think if I can get it higher in ranking I might be able to obtain a writing star for a couple of days. LOL anyone who has read my Helium discussions I will get a star and by the end of the week it will be gone. I can't see where anything has changed much but obviously it did. Let me know if you leapfrog and if you think it's a good idea. Also let me know if you can use a leapfrog on the same article more than once. Thanks. | |

| | Would You Be Offended if Your Own Mom Wanted to Give You a LeapFrog System? | | My mom asked me if I would like the LeapFrog Tag Reading System. This system is made for 4-8 year olds, kids just learning to read. You put the pen on a word and then it will say that word. That way kids can read without an adult around to help them. Now I'll admit I have really bad reading abilities, to the point of sometimes just claiming to be illiterate to get out of reading something (that's generally if I have a headache, because then my reading abilities are even more crummy than they normally are). But I don't think a children's learning system for reading is going to help me!Granted, I think my mom thought that the pen was an optical scanner and would read the words on anything, not just the LeapFrog books. But I think it's just a sensor that can detect something planted underneath the word in those specific books only. Especially since it's only $50. Now if there was such an optical scanner that could read words like that, that would be awesome! I would love that for restaurants when I usually just have to ask what's vegetarian on the menu and is the server's favorite item, and then I'll pick that. But the LeapFrog one offended me, just because I don't have good... | |

| How smart is your child? | | Ok, I know most people would say their child is very smart but my middle child is too smart! She will be 2 on Saturday. Here is what I get to deal with everyday. We had to put an extra lock on the doors because she would stand on a toy, unlock the dead bolt and go outside. She can change the DVD's out and start them. She uses the computer chair to reach this one. Baby gates she laughs at. She can even get herself dressed. She also knows how to use my cell phone to call her father at work. What would you do when It come to shopping for her christmas gifts? Would you get toys for the agge of 2 or is the age of 3 ok to get? | |
| | Computer Games | | I just wanted to pass this along to you guys. My son has been using this game called rising star learning. It's some promotional thing that I got off the internet. But anyways it's so great. With just one week he's actually learned his letters. He does dot to do and is telling me what sound they make. It's really great. Do you guys have any other little games like this that would be good to further his learning? | |

| Need help teaching my preschooler to read. | | I'm looking for useful websites that might help my preschooler learn to read. She knows most of her alphabet, but we're having difficulty making the transition into reading. Also, if there are any sites that have online story books, that would be helpful too.Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks. | |
| | Anybody see my Toad | | My Toad from my previous discussion just disappeared, I'm sure I'm jinxed with uploading photo's and posting them. They always land up in other discussions. Well I am going to try once more | |
