| | | | They judge you by your appearance | | One day my sister, her friends and I went into a mid-scale mall in a big city. We were both window shopping and actually shopping for clothes. We entered a certain store and were browsing. We went over to a Cashmere sweater and as soon as we were ten feet away from the item, a sales clerk asked if we needed help. We informed her that we were interested in getting a closer look at that cashmere sweater. The clerk scoffed and bluntly stated that the sweater was five hundred dollars and refused to bring the sweater down so we could get a closer look. I became irated and asked to see the manager because never once did we inform miss thang of our spending budget. The manager had a talk with the clerk, the clerk apologized and went to the other end of the store. That is when the manager informed us that since we were dress in hip hop clothing and sneakers, that she assumed we couldn't afford the sweater. Well, excuse me for not wearing my Louis Vitton Pumps and Burberry trench coat. Only advice is don't assume, and miss thang lost a good commission that day. | |
